“Our story with Holiday Shores started back in 2007, when I brought my daughter to stay with my sister and brother-in-law at their trailer in the Meadows. She was instantly hooked on the pool, playgrounds, and Saturday night DJ dance parties. I fell in love with the beautiful location along the river, the relaxing golf cart rides, and the welcoming community.

Fast forward a few years—I returned with my husband, and he fell in love with it too. We always dreamed about having a place of our own here, and in 2019, that dream came true. A park model right on the water opened up, and we jumped on it. One week later, we were watching bald eagles swoop down in front of our deck, and just like that, we named our new spot Serendipity—a fortunate accident.

One of our favorite Holiday Shores traditions is hosting “Rob’s Saturday Big Breakfast” on our riverside deck with family, friends, and neighbors. It’s a true breakfast fiesta—Prem’s bacon, biscuits and gravy, hash, eggs, and our signature sausage-egg-cheese bake (you can find our full recipe in this newsletter!).

We also love the Halloween party and costume golf cart contest, and this year we’re thrilled to join the AquaHolics wave runner group for Saturday morning river cruises. Every season brings something new, but some moments never get old—like our nightly front-row sunset views.

One of our all-time favorite memories was introducing our friends to Holiday Shores. They weren’t “camping people,” but after one weekend of watersports, Club 21 fun, and laughs, they were hooked. And right on cue, a bald eagle soared in front of us—sealing the deal. They bought the trailer next door, and now we’re neighbors both here and at home.

We can’t say enough about the Ward family and the entire staff. From friendly greetings to helpful advice and quick service, they make every stay special.

To anyone considering a visit—book early, soak it all in, and don’t be surprised if Holiday Shores becomes your second home too.”
